Your choice of 6-volt or 8-volt 1-wire, 32-amp, solid-state internal regulator Delco 10SI alternator. Can also be ran as a 3-wire if you use a pigtail so you have the absolute lowest RPM excite (excited when the ignition switch is turned on).
- Eliminates the troublesome external voltage regulator.
- Allows for use of sealed, low-maintenance, longer-life battery.
- No more boil overs and rotted battery tray.
- Simple, easy, affordable upgrade to a modern charging system.
- Better headlight performance.
Don't really need, or actually want, 12-volts?
You can go with a 10Si alternator, the top choice for alternator conversions, in your preferred voltage, 1-wire configuration.
Keep your 6V battery, coil, light bulbs and accessories. Toss the external electro-mechanical voltage regulator and then change polarity to negative ground.
No wire harness or pigtail required.
Easy and affordable charging system upgrade for most any vintage automotive, ag or industrial engines.
You will need to determine the proper alternator belt pulley according to your vehicle. Measure the groove width of the water pump or crank pulley or you contact me with the make, model, year and engine and I can probably look it up.
Comes standard with a 3/8" (0.410") pulley.
Simple wiring means you connect the charging wire to the post on the one-wire alternator and that's that.
Swap battery cables, coil wires, and ammeter posts to reverse the polarity.
Some positive ground electronic devices (radios and the like) might not work in a reversed polarity (negative ground) electrical system. Electric devices like motors, horns, solenoids, relays and the like don't care about electrical system polarity.
1-year limited warranty.
Pick the alternator conversion adapter bracket to fit your generator mount, figure the pulley width, and get with the conversion. I do have the Ford N-series brackets.
Fan and pulley color may vary.
