| Universal Bracket & Delco 10SI alternator; standard 3-wire system. This is a new Universal Alternator Bracket that will install in place of generators that have 2 mounting ears. Ideal for vintage or older, ag, and industrial engines. The Delco 10SI 12-volt alternator is an affordable and proven design much favored in conversions from 6V or more expensive alternators. LOWER CUT-IN SPEED THAN A ONE-WIRE DELCO 10SI ALTERNATOR. Low speed turn-on is important for low RPM ag and industrial engines. Works with or without an idiot light. Three-wire system eliminates battery drain, has standard replacement parts, and a simple two wire hook-up. Use with my DA plug wire harness with the diode and continue using the original key switch even if the switch has no ACC terminal. The diode will prevent unwanted ignition feed and a "no shut-off" condition. The DA plug wire harness with a diode (available in My eBay Store) provides for the slowest-speed cut-in possible and re-excite every time even after the engine hasn't been run for awhile. This 10SI alternator is remanufactured. Remanufacturer gives a 1-yr limited warranty. Alternator may vary slightly from the picture. 12V, 63A, solid-state internal regulator. 2-5/8" x 0.41" x 0.670" ID pulley 1-yr limited warranty. Fan & pulley finish may vary. Bracket: 1/4" zinc coated steel. Hardware included. Ford Y-block Customer feedback on the Uni-bracket: Went great installing [the uni-bracket] on my ’55 T-bird and ’56 Vicky (both Y-blocks). Had to fabricate belt tensionors however. The mounting brackets worked like a charm! Fit [292 Ford Y-block] very well with no modifications really. I think I had to change assembly directions on the bracket several times to get it to fit just right and line up with the fan pulley. |
