Fabricated from stout 1/4" zinc-plated steel and comes with hardware. The brackets take paint just fine. The A200 Universal Alternator Mounting Bracket is designed to adapt alternators to different applications which previously used a generator. For many applications, the drive belt pulley and the belt tension strap (upper bracket) may have to be changed.

Went great installing[the uni-bracket] on my ’55 T-bird and 56 Vicky (both Y-blocks). Had to fabricate belt tensioners however.
The mounting brackets worked like a charm! Fit [292 Ford Y-block] very well with no modifications really. I think I had to change assembly directions on the bracket several times to get it to fit just right and line up with the fan pulley.
